The Delhi High Court today asked former governor ND Tiwari to appear in person on May 26 before it to give blood sample for a DNA test to decide the paternity suit of a person claiming to be his son. Registrar of Delhi High Court Deepak Garg asked the medical chief of the dispensary, located inside the high court premises, to appoint a doctor for collecting the blood sample on May 26, the next date of hearing.

In Italy, thousands of people left homeless by a powerful earthquake in northern parts of the country have spent the night in shelters as aftershocks continue to hit the region. At least seven people died and more than 50 were injured when the quake struck on Sunday.
